Job Title: Electronics Technician Maintenance III – SATCOM (AN/WSC‑9 NMT)
Location: Naval Station Norfolk, VA (On‑site at MARMC)
Clearance: Active SECRET (required at time of hire)
Employment Type: Full Time – Contingent on Contract Award
Wage: $32.84/hr
Additional Rate: $5.09/hr for Health & Welfare payments - to be used towards health and benefits costs, where any of the unused funds will roll over into your 401k.

About the Program

Join a high‑trust team supporting MARMC C280 (Codes 283/284)—the Navy’s front line for shipboard comms readiness in Norfolk. As the NMT specialist, you’ll tackle AN/WSC‑9 issues and related terminals/antennas (incl. A/L‑7204 TV‑DTS), working hands‑on at the waterfront. Expect variety (multiple hull types), collaboration with expert ETs, and visible wins: cleaner grooms, faster restores, and stronger inspection results for deploying ships.

What You’ll Do:

· Execute shipboard assessments/inspections ; perform cold/hot checks and operational checks.

· Troubleshoot, repair/adjust, and groom NMT and associated antennas; oversee Ship’s Force corrective actions.

· Use appropriate test equipment; record findings; compile MS Office reports and historical files.

· Provide on‑the‑job training to Ship’s Force; communicate findings clearly in briefs/reports.

Required Minimum Qualifications

• Active SECRET security clearance.
\n
• \n 4+ years hands on operation, troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, and assessment of:
\n
• \n AN/WSC 9 NMT (all variants/antennas) and A/L 7204 TV DTS .
\n
• Working knowledge of Navy assessment programs/visit processes/reporting .
\n
• Skilled in instrumented troubleshooting and interpreting wiring diagrams/control schematics .
\n
• Proficiency with MS Office ; strong written and oral communication.
\n

Preferred / Highly Desirable

• Experience coordinating with MARMC/Ship’s Force during availabilities; prior TYCOM/ATG/INSURV support.
