Hardscape Manager to oversee our hardscape division and ensure excellence in planning, execution, and customer satisfaction.
Position Overview:
The Hardscape Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of our hardscape operations, including project planning, crew management, material coordination, budgeting, quality control, and client communication. This is a leadership role requiring both field and office responsibilities, with a strong emphasis on project efficiency, customer satisfaction, and team development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the hardscape division
- Manage and support multiple crews across various residential and commercial projects
- Review project designs and ensure accurate site layout and execution
- Conduct pre-construction walkthroughs and site evaluations
- Coordinate procurement and delivery of materials and equipment
- Schedule labor and manage project timelines
- Maintain high standards of craftsmanship, safety, and efficiency
- Collaborate with sales/design team and assist with estimating and quoting
- Build and maintain relationships with clients and ensure satisfaction throughout the project
- Identify opportunities for upsells or change orders during project execution
- Recruit, train, and mentor foremen and crew members
- Track project performance, labor hours, and profitability
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in hardscape construction, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role
- Strong knowledge of ICPI and NCMA standards (certification a plus)
- Ability to read and interpret landscape design plans and blueprints
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficiency in project management tools and basic computer skills (emails, scheduling software, etc.)
- Valid drivers license (CDL is a plus)
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Preferred Qualifications:
- Sales experience or ability to identify upsell opportunities
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Experience with estimating software or CRM systems
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification
