Our client is a high-frequency trading firm hiring a Head of Tax to join the Legal & Compliance team. Responsibilities Drive efficient tax planning for the firm’s global business lines and trading in all markets and across varied financial products. Provide guidance on a wide variety of US and foreign tax matters. Manage and maintain relationships with external tax advisors. Evaluate restructuring projects to ensure long-term tax efficiency, develop consensus on projects, and drive them to completion. Be closely involved with partnership allocations, understanding and maneuvering through partner-level tax planning and consequences. Evaluate and maintain efficient architecture for global tax transfer pricing regimes and intellectual property. Ensure adherence to global information sharing regulations such as FATCA, CRS, FBAR, etc. Oversee global tax compliance related to permanent establishment issues worldwide. Regularly present to senior management and partners on relevant issues. Requirements Bachelor’s degree required. 8-10 years of accounting and tax experience. Experience in public accounting and hedge fund/financial services accounting. CPA or JD required. Ability to simplify complex issues and analyses.
