Job Description

Position Overview:

As a Lifeguard at Paragon Prep, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and enjoyable environment at our summer camp's pool. This temporary part-time role with a schedule that fits between 8 am and 4 pm, Monday through Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Keep a vigilant eye on the pool, ensuring all kids have a safe and fantastic time.
  • Stay active and engaged with our 5-5-5 routine: stand, sit, and walk in shifts to maintain alertness and visibility.
  • Be the guardian of the pool’s edge, never more than a foot away, keeping all aquatic activities in check.
  • Lock and secure the pool area diligently, ensuring safety at all times.
  • Coordinate with camp counselors to oversee scheduled swim times and lessons, ensuring every child has a memorable and safe swim experience.
  • Conduct daily pool checks, maintaining crystal clear water and a clean, inviting pool area.

Requirements:

  • At least one year of lifeguarding experience, ready to dive into action.
  • Lifeguard, CPR, and preferably CPO certifications, showcasing your commitment to pool safety.
  • Must be 18 or older, with strong interpersonal skills to create positive experiences for campers, staff, and the community.
  • Tech-savvy, to efficiently communicate and coordinate pool activities.
