JOB SUMMARY

The Occupational Health Tech works under the supervision of the Wellness Supervisor and Director of Safety, Health, and Development. Provides specialized services that include wellness health screenings (registration, phlebotomy, biometrics), audiograms, pulmonary function tests (PFTs), and health coaching for corporate and community wellness, on and off site.The Occupational Health Tech provides customer education and one-to-one consultation to assist in specific client health and awareness.

PRIMARY JOB DUTIES

• Provides excellent customer service at all times using ADIET.



• Maintains an organized, clean and safe environment for clients and coworkers.



• Uses two patient identifiers at each screening station and Final Check when appropriate.



• Documents according to policy.



• Accurately and efficiently uses all computer programs.



• Remains competent in Wellness screening tests that include: vital signs, height/weight, body composition, registration, hearing, phlebotomy, pulmonary function tests and other screens as needed.



• Performs health coaching to contracted customers.



• Carries out excellent customer service as indicated by customer satisfaction surveys.



• Participates in committees and on Process Improvement teams.



• Contributes to department budget by being fiscally sound and encourages cost savings for department and organization.



• Demonstrates positive interpersonal relations.



• Complies with the hospitals Corporate Compliance Program including, but not limited to, the Code of Conduct, laws and regulations, and CCH policies and procedures.



• Must be free from governmental sanctions involving health care and/or financial practices.



• Demonstrates safe truck and trailer operation by completing biennial training as travel to corporate sites for scheduled screenings required.



• Participates in department/organizational projects and works with other CCH departments when needed.



• Performs other duties as assigned.



• Helps ensure Infection Control measures by utilizing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment and hand washing and performs routine cleaning tasks utilizing department daily check list

  • A minimum of a high school degree or GED
  
  
  
  • Associates or higher in a health related field preferred unless currently possessing a health related certificate
  
  
  
  • Phlebotomy, Health Coaching, Occupational Hearing (COHC), or Personal Training Certificates preferred.
