We are seeking a full-time Oral Surgery Assistant to join our team. At Bay Smiles, our team is dedicated to the pursuit of excellence in patient care. Our Oral Surgery assistants are considered integral members of our dental team, providing essential support during various general dental procedures. What we offer:

• $30-$40/hr. based on level of experience
• Monday – Friday with varying shifts (8am-5pm, 9am-6pm, 10am-7pm)
• $300 health benefit stipend

Responsibilities:

• Assist our dentists during procedures, including dental implants and cosmetic treatments.
• Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for dental procedures.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions.
• Maintain patient records and ensure efficient workflow in the dental office.
• Opening and closing procedures for the clinical area
• Act as a liaison between the doctor and the patient and assist in the gathering of information in the new patient experience
• Coordinate a treatment plan with the doctor and present it to the patient
• Ability to mentor dental assistants into an expanded functions role
• Provide daily, weekly, monthly and yearly dental equipment maintenance
• Fabricate temporary crowns, digital impressions, sterilization, dental supply order
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Other EFDA responsibilities as needed

Qualifications:

• EF- RDA certification from an accredited program, a plus
• X-ray certification
• Chair side experience in general dentistry
• Eaglesoft experience, a plus
• Ability to quickly adapt to a new EMR system
• Experience with prosthetics, required
• iTero Proficient
• CPR Certification
• 5+ years of experience required
• Knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and sterilization methods.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Surgical Dental Implant experience, required
