Maintains records as appropriate for assignments. S/He will assist the others as may be required in specific repairs. When applicable, performs Groundskeeper's duties. Maintenance Technician 2:Provides advanced maintenance support for Northern Arizona Healthcare's facilities, with a focus on operational safety and efficient facility management. This role involves troubleshooting and performing repairs on HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical devices, and other equipment. The Maintenance Technician 2 uses the work order management system to track, document, and complete assigned work orders, ensuring timely execution to minimize disruptions to patient care.This position also analyzes maintenance data to suggest improvements in preventive maintenance routines. The technician collaborates with vendors and contractors, ensuring safety standards and adherence to regulatory guidelines. Additionally, the Maintenance Technician 2 mentors lower-level technicians, developing troubleshooting skills and providing guidance on system repairs.The technician also participates in emergency response situations, safely operates snow removal equipment, and performs routine inspections to ensure equipment and facilities remain operational. Maintenance Tech 3:The Maintenance Technician 3 leads and manages advanced maintenance tasks for Northern Arizona Healthcare's facilities, ensuring operational safety and compliance with hospital standards. This role includes troubleshooting, performing repairs, and modifying equipment and systems across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other facility infrastructure.The Maintenance Technician 3 manages work orders and preventive maintenance schedules, ensuring tasks are completed to minimize downtime and optimize operational efficiency. This position coordinates with contractors, manages service requests, and handles vendor relationships to ensure timely and quality maintenance services.Additionally, the technician plays a key role in emergency response efforts, including fire, code red, and disaster management, ensuring hospital safety. The Maintenance Technician 3 mentors and trains lower-level technicians, fosters skill development, and ensures adherence to regulatory safety standards, maintaining a high-performing and compliant maintenance team. Responsibilities Maintenance Tech 1: OperationsDemonstrates basic knowledge of computer skills (email), work order system(s), and internet navigation.Demonstrates the ability to use basic tools.Demonstrates the ability to read and follow the instructions on manuals and safety data sheets.Demonstrates the ability to work in cold and wet weather during snow removal.Demonstrates the ability to maintain a clean work site and maintain common work areas to department expectations.Demonstrates the ability to adjust their schedule to accommodate the needs of the hospital, including on-call when after-hours work is required.Completes and documents assigned work orders and repair calls in a timely manner so as to minimize any negative impact upon the patient care environment.Assists in repairs and modifications to facility equipment and property structures.Safely operates snow removal equipment and other motor vehicles.Assists with equipment relocation and office moves. Code ResponseDemonstrates the ability to remain calm and perform duties when responding to code calls.Demonstrates knowledge of hospital layout and department names.Assists in controlling fires and both internal and external disasters as directed. Maintenance Tech 2: OperationsRegularly inspects and repairs fire and smoke doors to ensure they meet safety standards. Coordinates work with qualified vendors as needed.Performs assigned preventive maintenance tasks, accurately documents assigned work order progress and completion in the work order management system, and ensures timely work completion to minimize disruptions to patient care.Analyzes basic work order patterns and suggests improvements to preventive maintenance routines, contributing to reduced downtime and increased operational efficiency.Collaborates with service providers and contractors to assist in resolving issues, providing support for tasks such as moving equipment and unlocking doors to help address issues outside the department’s scope.Safely operates and maintains snow removal equipment, trucks, and other motor vehicles. Performs routine inspections, basic maintenance (e.g., cleaning, refueling, oil changes), and ensures snow removal operations are carried out safely without damage to the facility.Demonstrates the ability to maintain a clean and organized worksite, adhering to departmental expectations for cleanliness and safety, ensuring that all tools, equipment, and vehicles are properly maintained and stored. Performs routine inspections, basic maintenance (e.g., cleaning, refueling, oil changes), and ensures snow removal operations are carried out safely without damage to the facility.Ensures all work sites, tools, and equipment are properly maintained, stored, and available for efficient operations. Manages repair part inventories in coordination with the department and external suppliers for timely replenishment. Demonstrates strong knowledge of facility layout, including critical equipment and departments, and assists in training team members on technical tools and safety equipment. Maintenance Tech 1, 2, and 3: Compliance/Safety * Responsible for reporting any safety-related incident in a timely fashion through the Midas/RDE tool; attends all safety-related training programs; performs work in a safe manner; monitors work environment for possible safety issues and ensures others are also performing work in a safe manner. * Stays current and complies with state and federal regulations/statutes and company policies that impact the employee's area of responsibility. * If required for the position, ensures all certifications and/or licenses are up-to-date and valid prior to expiration dates. * Completes all company mandatory modules and required job-specific training in the specified time frame.
